Surrounding each pylon, floating on the water’s surface, Barnacle Guard is powered naturally by any movement in the water (waves, currents, swells and even passing boats). With movement, Barnacle-Guard’s dense foam inner surface frequently scrubs the pylon 24/7, preventing any marine life such as barnacles, oysters, mussels, seaweed and sludge from accumulating.

Dense marine-growth on pylons is not only unsightly, but it can also restrict floating docks from rising and falling with the tides.
If tidal movement is restricted, as tides recede the brackets and and rollers can sustain damage, or become stuck and no longer move with the tide, possibly causing serious damage to the dock itself. This sometimes occurs at marinas and docks must be replaced.
Barnacle-Guard was developed to both prevent costly maintenance and to maintain a flawless visual appearance of residential docks and commercial marinas.
Unlike previous developments, Barnacle-Guard can be effortlessly applied to both new and existing pylons cost-effectively.
Biological fouling (bio fouling) is the undesirable accumulation of microorganisms, plants and marine life on artificial surfaces. This occurs on artificial surfaces submerged in seawater, such as a ship’s Hull, seaside piers as well as other surfaces in continuous contact with sea water.
